ABOUT TECH4Transition
Innovative goals and sustainable partnerships
Entrepreneurship provides strategically important impetus, particularly in the areas of Just Transition, Job Creation and Women's Economic Development. It helps to build a resilient infrastructure, promotes inclusive and sustainable industrialization and pushes innovation. Entrepreneurship thus makes an important contribution to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Thru TECH4Transition, we take up this key role of entrepreneurship - and fill it with life. Because we are convinced: Innovative goals also need a supportive ecosystem, sustainable networks and active partnerships!
Innovation made in Africa
Our focus is on the African ecosystem - where forward-looking ideas arise and great potential is hidden. TECH4Transition acts as a facilitator, mediator and amplifier in the African start-up scene and, together with its partners, as an entry point.
Through close cooperation with excellent local partners, a cluster is created that contains enormous technological and infrastructural potential with a large talent pool and increases the visibility of African target markets in local and international competition.
By focusing on the development of technology-based start-ups, a unique network is created at the interface of business, science and research, which has a transnational impact and is built and successively expanded by local and international expertise.
Modular platform for technology-based ideas
TECH4Transition is a modular offer of the KIT Gründerschmiede. The modules are innovation spaces where target groups can exchange, network and present their technology-based ideas. In addition, the modules offer participants a mentoring and coaching system with established industry partners.
TECH4Transition promotes the skills of systematic thinking and critical questioning, as well as clarifies the complex interrelationships between the SDGs and sustainable development.
This Project has been developed by Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and is implemented in cooperation with GIZ Egypt.
