Welcome to the Start of Studies for Internationals at KIT
The Welcome & Integration Team of the International Students Office welcomes you warmly to KIT. We offer you various welcome and information events in the period from October 7th to October 18th, 2024. Here you can make first contacts with other students and get the most important information about the start of your studies.

Orientation Week
Most of the student bodies of the faculties offer an Orientation Week before the start of the lectures. Here you can get to know your future fellow students. Registration at AStA's website.
Campus Management Portal for Students
The Campus Management Portal for Students is KIT's online student service portal. Here, you can download enrollment certificates, the-KVV pass for public transportation, do your re-enrollment before the start of each semester, communicate address changes to us etc.
Newsletter for international students
We send the newsletter about 2-3 times in the semester. The newsletter containts information about events of the International Students Office and general information about the studies. Registration for the newsletter.
Students with refugee status
Information for students with refugee status can be found here. Students can gladly turn to the coordination office for refugees and migrants at KIT under migrants∂intl.kit.edu and schedule a meeting. A contact person is available at the Studierendenwerk as well.
ProfilPass-Advice: What else can I do apart from the things for which I have a certificate? When you know this, you'll know how to study better, use your strengths for your job application, or just notice what else you have to be proud of. Let an trained ProfilPass consutant guide you through the stuctured process, at the end of which you will receive a ProfilPass certificate. contact

Student body representation The Students’ Union exists to help you and to ensure your views are effectively represented to the University. The AStA officers are happy to help you. Feel free to pay us a visit during the Consultation Hours (Sprechzeit) of the person you would like to talk to. |

Studium Generale. Forum Science and Society (FORUM) Our core topic is the exchange between science and society in teaching, public events and research. The courses offered by FORUM in the field of intercultural competence serve to provide professional qualification for cooperation in international projects, preparation for stays abroad and activities in intercultural contexts. However, English-language seminars and one French-language seminar can also be attended in other subject areas (e.g. sustainability, business, globalization). |
