Teaching at EPICUR

Since 2019, the association of nine EPICUR partner universities has stood for developing attractive and innovative learning and teaching opportunities for their students and staff. With its diverse interdisciplinary course program, EPICUR is shaping a new generation of students in Europe who are facing the global challenges of our time. The European network enables students to take part in existing courses at partner universities and thus gain low-threshold mobility experience.

The predominantly English course offerings have virtual, hybrid or summer school formats and are in the following subject areas: Sustainability, European Values, Global Health, Future Intelligence & Transversal Skills. However, courses beyond these broad focus areas can also be opened up to European participants. They gain access via the digital platform of the EPICUR Inter-University Campus, which connects the learning management systems.

Participating in teaching at EPICUR

Are you interested in opening up a course to a limited number of EPICUR students? This gives teachers a wide range of added value:

  • greater cultural diversity of students,
  • access to selected resources to support teaching at EPICUR,
  • they become part of an international academic community.

Read the experience report of a KIT lecturer about her first course in the EPICUR context. The next deadline for submitting course proposals (using this table) can be found in the News section.

Are you interested in establishing a teaching cooperation with an EPICUR partner university (co-teaching, multiple degree)? We will be happy to advise you and put you in touch with suitable institutions or institutes.

EPICUR Centre for International Teaching and Learning

Since 2024, a new central service unit has existed within EPICUR: the Center for International Teaching and Learning (EPiC TLC) for teachers and teaching support staff. The virtual EPiC TLC offers a wide range of opportunities for networking, professional development and inspiration. It thus strengthens internationalization, innovation and, last but not least, the joy of high-quality university teaching. The resources and offers provided support teachers in the didactic design of courses with intercultural groups and innovative teaching formats. Become part of the Community of Practice.
