In order to receive the erasmus funding, you have to submit the Certificate of Departure to your home university. Please upload the Certificate of Departure together with a document that confirms your departure (e.g. flight ticket, train ticket or a confirmation of the last examination date at KIT) in one PDF in Mobility Online. You can either use the template of your home university or the KIT version of the document. The documents can be signed earliest two days before your departure date.

Before you leave KIT, you should de-register. As you will need a de-registration certificate (“Exmatrikulationsbescheinigung”) when you want to study in a German university again.

Please go to the webpage of the Studierendenservice (SLE) and download the Application for de-registration (English).

Complete the form with your personal data and with the following information:

Only if you have already left Karlsruhe and need our assistance to finish your de-registration process at KIT, please also download, fill out, sign and send us the letter of authorization (Vollmacht für die Durchführung der Exmatrikulation). Please send both documents to us by e-mail. We will then be able to forward your document to the KIT-library and to the SLE. Or alternatively you can also ask a friend to do this for you.

Your KIT e-mail account (starting with u****) will be deactivated six months after your de-registration at KIT.
