Baden-Württemberg/Oregon state exchange program - Faculty Mobility Grant

The US state of Oregon and the German state of Baden-Württemberg have maintained a reciprocal exchange agreement since 1968, which has enabled the international mobility of more than two thousand students for academic purposes. The agreement also provides for the exchange and cooperation of academics. In order to strengthen the relationships between the academic partner institutions in both regions, to expand the program capacities according to the academic needs of the enrolled students and to involve a larger number of scientists, funds are provided by the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts Baden-Württemberg. Funding is available for researchers from Baden-Württemberg to spend time at a partner institution in Oregon in a position relevant to the goals of the exchange program. Applicants should indicate a connection to a university, a project or a specific cause that they would like to pursue during their visit.

Two orientations are possible for the Faculty Mobility Grant application:

  • Projects that can strengthen and expand bilateral student mobility,
  • research cooperation, the primary aim of which is to sustainably promote student engagement.

In both cases, the personal visit should serve to strengthen bilateral exchange.
