Partners with Prospects: Grenoble and KIT
January 31st, representatives of the Communauté Université Grenoble Alpes visited KIT. The Communauté includes the Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA), the Commissariat à l'énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives (CEA) in Grenoble, L’institut polytechnique de Grenoble (Grenoble INP) and the Institut Néel in Grenoble.
Professor Thomas Hirth introduced KIT and its structure, Dr. Karl-Friedrich Ziegahn presented the energy research at KIT. Professor Wolfgang Wernsdorfer and Professor Matthieu Le Tacon informed about the collaborative Superconductivity project “Laboratoire International Associé” between KIT and Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS) in Grenoble (Institut Néel/Université Grenoble Alpes).
Based on successful student exchanges and joint degree programs between KIT and UGA or Grenoble INP for more than 20 years, the Communauté Université Grenoble Alpes and KIT intend to foster strengths in research as well as innovation and entrepreneurship.
