Consul General of the Netherlands visiting

At the end of February, the Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Munich, Peter Vermeij, visited KIT. Peter Vermeij is responsible for Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria.

The aim of the talks was to get to know each other, to identify the thematic strengths of both countries and to exchange views on issues such as urban mobility and smart city, which play an important role on both sides. Professor Joachim Knebel, Head of Division III ‒ Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, welcomed Peter Vermeij to Campus North and gave him a presentation of KIT. Subsequently, the Consul General headed the Institute for Vehicle System Technology (FAST) at Campus Ost, where Dr. Ing. Matthias Pfriem explained the research activities in the Mobility Systems Profile Region Karlsruhe based on the test benches and laboratories.
