New Helmholtz Research School in Astrophysics

KIT and Universidad Nacional de San Martin (UNSAM) in Buenos Aires, Argentina, inaugurated the Helmholtz International Research School for Astroparticle Physics and Enabling Technologies (HIRSAP) in November.

Professor Thomas Hirth, Vice President for Innovation and International Affairs, led the 25-member KIT delegation attending the inauguration. The HIRSAP represents the culmination of the long-standing cooperation between UNSAM and KIT. In addition to the opening, workshops were held in which scientists from various departments explored the further cooperation potential between the two universities.
