New KIT Partner in Armenia
The delegation of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia (NPUA), represented by Rector Dr. Gor Vardanyan, Vice-Rector Dr. Sargis Asatryants and the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Physics Dr. Ishkhan Hovhannisyan, visited KIT on July 25. The representatives of the leading Armenian university were accompanied by Honorary Consul of the Republic of Armenia in Karlsruhe Günther Pilarsky and Economic Attaché of the Republic of Armenia in Baden-Württemberg Robert W. Huber. During their visit, the guests learned about energy, environmental, and sustainability research, visited selected research facilities, and established valuable contacts with KIT scientists. They also discussed possibilities of closer cooperation and exchange of students and researchers. During the official reception of the delegation by the Vice President for Transfer and International Affairs, Professor Thomas Hirth, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed to intensify the cooperation between NPUA and KIT.
