Getting involved internationally, but how? Getting to know other cultures, but where? Answers to these questions can be found at the International Fair!
 
As part of the International Days 2025, the Studierendenwerk is organising a fair together with INTL, where university groups, student initiatives and institutions with an international focus will present themselves. It's also a chance for all international students to show off a bit of their culture.
There'll be info stands, short talks, stage performances, presentations and other creative and tasty (!) samples.
 
If you want to find out more about the colourful, international and diverse life on campus and maybe even think outside the box yourself, then come along to the International Fair on Europe Day!
 
And for even more wanderlust, there will be a small photo exhibition of the “My stay abroad” competition and the award ceremony for the winners.

Working in a border region not only offers excellent opportunities for cooperation and expanding professional and personal networks, it also strengthens the intercultural environment and opens up new perspectives.
 
In this workshop we would like to strengthen the intercultural skills of employees from administration and academia. After a joint snack, the focus will be on interculturality in the German-French-Swiss border region.
 
The event will be held in French and German. It is offered by Eucor - The European Campus, the trinational university network on the Upper Rhine with the member universities of Basel, Freiburg, Haute-Alsace, Strasbourg and KIT, and is organised in cooperation with the Foundation Centre Culturel Franco-Allemand Karlsruhe.

Doing your PhD at KIT: Information about the doctorate at KIT
 
The decision to pursue a doctorate raises many questions: What are the admission requirements? What types of PhDs are available? How do I find a topic? Who will supervise me? As the central institution for early-career support, Karlsruhe House of Young Scientists (KHYS) is the point of contact for advising prospective and current doctoral candidates at KIT. This talk provides an overview of all information related to the doctorate at KIT, including the necessary formal steps that are important before, during, and at the end of your doctorate, and also informs about funding programs offered by KHYS.

Strong partnerships between organisations in Germany and Africa can be a key element in strengthening and sustainably expanding the African education and science system. The aim of such collaborations is to support an effective and competence-oriented transformation of the African education and research sector. The existing models of education and research cooperation can only promote this transformation to a limited extent.
 
The roundtable gives experts a platform to discuss the potentials, challenges and opportunities for building and deepening strong partnerships as well as new models for cooperation in the field of research and education.
